Malcolm X College Tour

On Monday December 7, 2009, you attended a field trip to Malcolm X College. What did you experience on the college tour? What did you learned about Malcolm X College that you did not know before? What was the best part of the tour? Explain all of you answers in detail. Would you possibly like to attend this college when you get older? Why or why not?

On Monday December 7, 2009 my class and I went on a field trip to Malcolm X College. I experienced how college life is like. I learned that some careers like doctors and lawyers you must be good at math and science. I learned that Malcolm X College started in 1969. The part that I liked best about the tour was when we were going to different classes that college students go to because we got to see some of the classes we might be going to when we are in college. I think I would like to attend this college because this college seems like it will make me have a successful future in life. Thank you Mr. Akbar for bringing me to this college and showing me how college life is like. That was a trip I will never forget about. Thank you so much.

I had a great time on this trip.What I experience on the college tour is when we first went inside of Malcolm X College we got see the actual car Malcolm X drove when he was assassinated.It was called a Oldsmobile.The college got the car from his wife in 1970 because after Malcolm X was assassinated his wife took the car, went to college and then took the car to the college.After we seen the car we went to upstairs to one of the student classrooms and the tour guide talked to all of us about the college and what you could do there. When he asked us questions,we would have to answer the questions correctly if we did we would get a prize either a t-shirt or a water bottle for a prize with the Malcolm X logo on it. I won a t-shirt and it was white with the logo on it.But anyway getting back to the subject we went around to the pharmacy inside of the school.Then we went to a classroom to look inside it.After that we went to a lab and a lady told us about our kidneys and that we need to go and get them checked out by the doctor.When we left out of there we went to go eat lunch.While there the 5th graders was spying on people that went to Malcolm X college.After we finished lunch it was time to go but we left earlier than we expected.I really thank Mr. Akbar for taking us to Malcolm X college I really enjoyed the trip.

I would like to go to Malcolm X College because they have great food and great teachers.Another reason is that they have science, math, and reading. If I do go to that college I will get my degree in science because science is my favorite subject .When I grow up I would like to be the greatest scientist out there. I learned that they started to build the school in 1969.They also have the car he drove in before he died.They also have a huge library with a whole lot of books. I also want to thank you for paying for the bus the tour and most important is the good tasty fine pizza.I also like the huge gigantic lunchroom and the big flat screen Tv.

On December 7, 2009 I went to Malcolm X. College to take a tour around the campus. First our tour guide took us to a room to see what we knew about college. He asked us questions about college and if we got it right he would let us get a prize. After that a lady came in to talk to us also. She told us that she was a math teacher but as as kid she hated math. She said she would get bad grades in math. She gave us some advice. She said always follows the rules of math and it will always come clear to you. Finally, we started walking around the school. I was amazed to see how big those classrooms were. One of the classrooms we went into was so big, two classrooms could fit in it.When we into another classroom we saw a woman who was a teacher at Malcolm X. college. She told us that eating right is very important and never smoke and drink. She said eating bad foods like McDonald’s and Burger King is not always good for you. Maybe once a week but every day. She also said you can damage your body parts by drinking and smoking.
My favorite part at Malcolm X. College is when were answering questions and getting prizes. I thought it was a great opportunity to learn and have fun at the same time. Malcolm X. College will be one of my college choices when I get older. Malcolm X. College seems like a good school and it has a lot of history in it about Malcolm X.I would really like to thank Mr. Akbar for making this trip possible for Woodlawn Community School’s 5th and 6th grade classes.I also want to thank Mr. Akbar for paying all the expenses including the bus and our lunch.

At Malcolm X college I experienced that the college opened in 1969.Also that the have classes were you can prepare for nursing and other things in the medical field.As well the time you have to spend in Malcolm X college is 2 years.What I learned that I never knew before was that a car that Malcolm has drove is in the lobby of the college.The best part of the tour was when we got to see a classroom were it can seat to about 100 kids.Also when we got to see the kids working in their labs.Another thing I learned from Malcolm X college was that you can get a u pass when you take 12 hours of class.Also that Malcolm’s wife gave the college the car to put on display.A thing that I did not know is that Malcolm X put is own air conditioner in the car.I wanna thank Mr. Akbar for planning this field trip for us.Also for paying for our bus and lunch.
