President Obama wins the Nobel Peace Prize

On Friday, October 9, 2009 President Barack Obama was named the winner of the 2009 Nobel Peace Prize. There are some people that say he does not deserve this honor, because he has made no contributions to the world yet.
Do you think U. S. President Barack Obama deserved to win the Nobel Peace Prize? Why or Why not? Explain in detail.

In my opinion president Barack Obama deserve the Nobel peace prize. President Barack Obama deserve the Nobel Peace prize because he shows leadership.Even though people say he don’t deserve it just because he has not made any contributions.In my opinion even though he has not made any contributions he probably didn’t have a chance,and the people should be happy for him. He did not become president for nothing.I would like to see those people run a White House and make contributions to the world.For me Barack is getting a Nobel peace prize for making the world a better place is one of the greatest things in the world. Nobody has not been awarded with a Nobel Peace since 2002. Even though he has not made any contributions he will.

In my opinion,President Obama deserved the Nobel Peace Prize.He is trying very hard to make this world a better place.I can see if he was just a lazy, no-good president, but he’s not.You can see him trying.He’s going to meetings and giving speeches about everything he wants to do to the country.If he didn’t care,he would not bother getting up out of his warm bed.I believe that he deserves the Nobel Peace Prize.

He deserved the prize,but then he doesn’t deserve it.Everybody can try harder than they are,that includes him too.He might be trying,but he can try harder.He’s trying to help people with health care,but he’s not helping all of these homeless people on the street.If you really want to help,get those people off the street.Downtown has the worst amount of homeless people on the street.Their begging for change,sitting in front of stores,and they smell really bad.You cant go Downtown without seeing more than 3 homeless people.I pray for them.So he deserves it but then he doesn’t.THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!

In my personal opinion I don’t think President Barack Obama should get a Nobel peace prize because he has not made any contributions yet and he is just getting into this ‘President Business’ last year.President Barack Obama said that he was going to reduce the supply of nuclear weapons,to improve relations with Muslim countries and to increase the U.S. role in dealing with climate change but he has not done any of that stuff yet. When he does all of that stuff I stated before then President Barack Obama deserves an award.Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. gotten a Nobel peace prize for doing his ‘I have a dream speech’. President Barack Obama didn’t do any speech like that.

In my opinion Barack Obama deserved to win the Nobel Peace Prize because as the president of the United States he is doing a great job right now making sure he is serving our country in a good way.Some people say president Obama has not made any contributions yet but even though he didn’t he is working on making contributions to the United States.According to the text,it states that Obama is trying to make the world a better place.I believe he is trying to bring change to the world.Barack is teaching kids how important it is to go to school and get your education.I think he is telling us this so we can be something in life and be successful.Instead of going to the movies he wants us to own the movie theaters.Obama is doing a good job as president.

I think Barack Obama deserves the Nobel Peace Prize because in the passage it said that Obama his goal was to reduce the world’s supply of nuclear weapons.And I think that they picked Obama because of that one particular goal and because they might think that removing the nuclear weapons would make the communities and the world a better place.And maybe taking the weapons away might reduce the average of people getting killed down 30%. Also I think it’ll bring people together and help all the communities in need.
I also think Obama won the Nobel Peace Prize because he’s the 44 president and everybody is happy that he won the Nobel Peace Prize and just the fact that he is a great president.And also because he is striving to make the USA a better place to live and to stop the violence.

I think that he does deserve it because he has made some changes in my community an our world. And the people who said that he didn’t deserve it was wrong for what they said. Although he might
have made some changes to the world as well as the community that we might not like, the changes we still need to respect our president as well as his work. But at the end of the day that bad mistake will turn into a great creation.That is why I that he dose deserve the Nobel Peace Prize.

I think Barrack Obama deserves the Nobel Peace Prize because he is a good man and he as did so many things for our nation and neighborhoods.He also deserves it because he is trying to make our nation and future better.He is trying to reduce the weapons so more kids can make it to college.As well before he became president he was doing things for the community.He is trying to improve relations with Muslims countries.He has lived in so many places and has been through many things and has still made became a wonderful,and great man.That is why I think he deserves.

I think President Barack Obama deserves the Nobel peace prize because he is a great leader and he has given us hope for a better future.President Barck Obama goals are to reduce the worlds supply of nuclear weapons.And to improve relations with Muslim countries. That proves he is a great leader to me and a bunch of people think so too.Barack Obama is example that to kids and adult that you can do anything.

I think Obama does not deserve the Nobel Peace Prize.I think this because he has not did any thing for the taxes or did any thing about the war in Iraq.He was supposed to do something about the health care. He has only did a little something but he has not done anything big like he said he would do.I think Obama should do something in Iraq because are people are dieing every day. Health care is the main thing he should be worrying about many people do not have any medical cards or anything to help them get well.I think the war needs to stops. Mr Obama needs to let are people come home to their family.

Yes, I think President Barack Obama should have won the Nobel Peace Prize.I think that because he said he is donate the money he was getting from the prize to charity.He is trying to reduce weapons and trying to start a relationship with Muslim countries.He really didn’t think he deserved the prize but, he accepted it.He is also trying to increase the role of the U.S. climate change.I just found out that it was named after a scientist Alfred Nobel.
