  1. Jakyra Richmond Says:

Race or gender will not effect my decision in voting for a canidate. It will not effect it because it dont matter what color they are but some people are prejiduce. If I were old enough I will vote for BARACK OBAMA.I will pick him because I think he will make a difference in this world and will be a great prsident.John McCain will probaly be a good president, but in my opinion I think they should give BARACK OBAMA a chance and he will the first BLACK AMERICAN man in the United States of America that is president.Thats not why I will like him to be president I just think he will be a wonderful president.GO BARACK OBAMA!

  2. Laurence Richards Says:

I think race or gender does not matter. If Barack Obama wins it will be the first time a black man will win president. If I could vote, I would vote for Barack Obama because he is a good leader. He keeps his word. He has a good vice president Joe Biden. Barack is my role model and I want to be like him. I believe he will be our president. Race and gender do not effect my vote.

  3. Marcus Naugles Says:

It would effect some people. Because people are sick and tired of paying all of that money like George Bush made them do. I would vote for Barack Obama. Because he said he would lower taxes and try to get more homeless people in homes. But if John McCain is president we might as well let George Bush keep his job. Beside we don’t want four more years of the same mess. So yes it would have an effect on people.

  4. Samaiya Butler Says:

    Voting for a President

If I was able to vote I would not vote because of race or gender.I mean I would like a black female president and a black male president, but I cant have everything I want. I’m going to be honest I will vote for a black male or female if I could because it’s never happened before. It’s not that I’m racist, I just really want to see how it feels to have a African American President. But at the same time I kinda don’t want Barack Obama to win because two white men wanted to kill him. If that was my daddy every day and night I will tell him that I love him and to be careful. I really want him to win, but if he get killed I know that his family will be so disgusted with the whole running for president thing.

  5. Naeem Richmond Says:

I think race or gender should not effect your decision in voting for a political candidate because you should not vote for a black man just because he is black. And you should not vote for a white man because he is white. You also should not vote for somebody because they are a woman or man. I think that everybody should have a reason to vote for Obama or McCain. You should not vote for a candidate because the color of their skin.

  6. Tariq Wells Says:

No, because judging people is very bad. Its not what’s on the outside its what’s on the inside that is very special.I think Barack Obama will be president because he is very smart and Sara Palin and John McCain are stupid. When I’m 18 I will vote for Barack Obama if he is still running for president. Maybe I will be his daughters’ bodyguards. I saw Barack Obama’s house. It is super cool. He lives in Hyde Park.

  7. Aria Woods Says:

No, it should not effect your decision because you should vote based on what you think that person may do. If I could vote I would for Obama because I feel that he will make this world more safe for us. Obama is an leader. I think, John is to old to be the president. I think Obama will help everybody not only the old people.

  8. Deja Washington Says:

I think your race should not effect your decision in voting
because it does not matter what your color is. It matters what you
will do for the state and the country. It matters because if you
don`t do what you are suppose to do there will still be problems
in Iraq, other states and other country.

  9. Kourtney Johnson Says:

I would vote for Obama because John Macain doesn’t like black people. I remember a time when they were debating and when it was over they were shook hands and McCain had wiped his hands off. I hope that whoever is elect is a good president.

  10. Briana A Price Says:

Race or gender shouldn’t effect your vote for the President. It really doesn’t matter. You vote for who ever you think makes good points about what they would do as president. Probably about half of the Caucasian people will vote for Obama. Probably about half of African- Americans will vote for McCain.

  11. Mahogany Smith Says:

I think you should not vote for gender or race. The candidate might not
agree on things you don’t agree on. A lot of people vote for gender or race. Some people do the right thing and vote for the person that they think that will do a good job.

  12. Tony Miner Says:

I don’t think they should judge the candidates by the way there skin color. But I do think they should jundge them by how they act and can change the country to make it better.I want to see who can make the best changes.

  13. Kalah Deloach Says:

It doesn’t matter what gender or race you are. It just about being a good president. It doesn’t matter to me who becomes the president. It can be John McCain. I dont care. I would really vote for Obama because he’s spending all this money on commercials and all these things. I think he’s going to be a good president. The reason I don’t want John McCain to be president because he says negative things about people and he tells people don’t vote for Obama.

  14. Naeemah Malcome Says:

I think that anyone should vote for anyone they want. A white woman can vote for Barrack. A black man can vote for McCain. It is your choice who you want to be for president. I think that it is great for a woman to run because we never had a woman president. Barrack will be a great black president. Anyone who wins its fine with me.

  15. Shanice Little Says:

No race and gender shouldn’t effect the race because you shouldn’t vote for Barack Obama because he’s black. You should vote for him for what he brings to the table for us Americans. You shouldn’t vote foe John Mccain because he has Sarah Palin because she’s a girl/women. VOTE FOR THEM FOR WHAT THEY BRING TO THE TABLE NOT FOR THEIR RACE OR GENDER!
If I could vote I would vote for Barack Obama foe what he bring to the table. Barack said he would end the war and build more schools. And he said this question and I thought on for a while. If the war was over think of how many schools there would be. And I thought the samething. And he would make sure EVERYONE has HEALTH CARE and INSURANCE.

  16. Joshua Adams Says:

No I don’t think that race or color matters to decide which candidate to pick. I just think it just matters in what they are trying to do to make a change, a difference to the world and
the community itself. Now that’s what matters and we will see what matters on November 4.

  17. Kahleem Mathews Says:

No it doesn’t because some black people don’t have the same dream or change. So,I think that some people should not pick people just because they have the same color as you. Some people choose the same race because they think that the person who has the same color as them are going to give them rights.I choosed Barack Obama because he is going to make a change for every race and color.I’m not picking John Mcain because he is going to keep the war going. Also, people shouldn’t pick other people of their same color. They should pick somebody that can change this country for all races, colors and gender.

  18. Jesse Anderson Says:

I think that you should not vote for somebody because of gender or race because you have to pick somebody that will help this country not the one that is your gender or race.I also think you should not vote for somebody your gender or race because you are being predjudice.I think you should not do this because if you do you are hurting the country if that person does not want to do anything for this country.I also think you should not vote for people just because of they are your gender or race because it would not be fair because the other candidate would not have a chance to win.Lastly, I think you should pick people not just because of race or gender because we do not want any more predjice people in this world.

  19. Joshua Reed Says:

I believe that race and gender will change my way of voting. I said that because I may want a woman to be president of the United States or maybe I would vote for a man to be president of the United states. Maybe I’d want a black man or a white man to become president. If I were old enough to vote, I would vote for Barack Obama. I would vote for him because of these reasons.

    1.He’s black.
    2.He’s a male .
3.Lastly is because some people don’t want a educated black man to be the president of the United States.

  20. Javonte Martinez Says:

No, I don`t think your race or gender should effect your decision in voting for a political canadate . I think so because you should make your decision by what they stand for not the color of their skin. Everybody runs for different reasons. You should go by what`s best for us. Also you shouldn`t vote for Barack Obama because he is a man. Maybe why he is running for president isn`t good. Our votes depend on what the future is like. That`s why think you shouldn`t make your decision based on race or gender.

  21. Diary Powell Says:

I think everyone should vote for who they want and racism should not have anything to do with it. If the candidates are female or male you should vote for who’s right and true with their speech. My whole household is voting for BARAK OBAMA!!!!.The reason why we are voting for Barrak is because he says the right things for the right times. Please VOTE if you are 18 or older, every vote will count!!

  22. Khalil Bentley Says:

I don’t think being a woman or being black should matter if you’re runing for President. A woman can be president. It should not effect anyone in a negative way . Also a Black person can be president without anyone being jugding him unfairly. I think the person that wins won fair and square .Personally I think Obama should be president. I think he’s better than McCain by a longshot becasue Obama talks about change.

  23. Nautica Thomas Says:

Yes I believe that race should be effected because if u are predjice then of course u are not going to pick John McCain or Sarah Palin your gonna pick Obaba because he is my color and I’m not going to pick a man who’s want to raise taxes and raise gas. John McCain and Sarah Palin who’s want to make this world or contry hard for everybody. John McCain wants to keep war going. If he keeps the war going then our african american people are going to die. If we vote for Obama he’s the one who going to stop raisng taxes and stop rasing gas prices and make the WAR STOP GOING ON. And if I could vote I would vote for Obama because he going to make aour lives better.

  24. Khalilah Manson Says:

I think that you shouldn’t vote for someone because they are a woman or a man. I don’t think that you should vote for someone because they are black or white. It’s about what you know what they would do for you, which is the right thing to do. It’s right to vote for what they stand for. For example if you vote for McCain because he is white it is wrong because he might want to do something that doesn’t help you but you won’t know about what he will do because you are just looking at his apperance and not listening to what he stands for. A lot of Americans are doing this and are being mislead. When you vote or support someone make sure you are voting or supporting them for the right reasons.
